206. It was a pro photographer, but it wasn't a pro-sitting

it was a friend of NSMA's ... we were staying at his place, and NSMA
had to run out for a few hours so he said "Hey! Let's take some
pictures for her birthday before she gets back." We did them in the
courtyard of his complex, no lighting... but that California sunshine
(which has since apparently disappeared) does wonders. It is quite a
difference though with someone who knows where and how to shoot you.

Here's me with Teresa Heinz Kerry, and another with Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm.

I met Teresa at a campaign event. (I also got great pictures of her husband at other events, but never got a picture of us together.)

Governor Granholm happened to be sitting at a chase lounge right near mine while at Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. The hotel is right near the Governor's residence on the island, so for obvious reasons the current governor tends to visit the hotel. I've also seen former Governor John Engler there, but never bothered to pose with him for a picture. (Even if I had a picture with him, I'm sure you'd all rather see Granholm rather than Engler).
