hot mail trouble

I have a friend who is getting nervous about his hotmail archives. Cand anybody post simple instructions for him to move his saved mails to disc?

Thanks, I know how to do Outlook Express but doubt they are the same.

1. Not sure there's any easy way to do it

Besides copying and pasting each email into a text file and saving it. Maybe someone else knows better, but for anything that's truly important and un-recoverable, that'd be the route I'd go...
