Is anybody on an excersicing diet now? We should start a fitness group.
I go to my Aerobics class three times a week and only eat dinner and with a lunch on Friday. My instructor is awesome...she adds in a lot of stretches. I believe stretching is "misunderestimated" (I thought adding a Bushism would be kind of funny) by many instructors. I don't know what happens, but I feel awesome after the stretching which occurs both before, but mostly after the routine.

Before, My ankle would hurt everytime when I did Aerobics. Now, there is no pain at all. It's awesome.

So far, I've lost fifteen lbs since the end of August...if you're not working out, you want to work out on here? just wondering.

2. Just went back on a diet and exercise regimen
Due to a lower back injury, my "laying off" has led to laziness. And the back isn't getting any better with the current "lazy" regimen.

We want to have a baby soon so I've got to take off a few pounds first (to lessen the load on my back and just to be in better shape). I agree with you regarding stretching. Yoga is really great for that reason. However, it's not strenuous enough for me to take off the weight I need to. I'm doing cardio 5-6x a week (walking uphill or hiking) and weights in addition to the yoga a few times a week.

Diet: Avoiding carbs and sweets, especially any wheat products. Also avoiding dairy as much as possible. Emphasizing vegetables, fish, chicken, lamb, beef. Of course, lots of water.

If you're pregnant, don't do Yoga...it could hurt you...you have to do a special type of Yoga.

4. not pregnant yet
Don't plan to be for a few months (if all works out as planned). But, thanks, yeah, I'm going to get involved in a prenatal yoga program.

5. yes--
I joined a gym and go there 3--4 times week. I do stretching, weight-lifting and cardio. I'm trying to lose 25 lbs. but without the deprivation of a strict diet.

6. There was a fitness thread in the Meeting Room
It had over 100 posts and stayed on the 1st page for weeks. Maybe you could try starting one there and see what happens.

I'm in total agreement about stretching, too much is never enough and I've even tried incorporating it in my everyday life outside of the gym. It does wonders to prevent injury.
