It's just plain wrong to make fun of freepers.
It's like making fun of the mentally disabled.

Do you really believe freepers have any control over such emotional outbursts as the ones exhibited on FOX News and hate radio? Well, they don't. Most of them are insane, and the remainder are either brainwashed, or just plain intellectually-challenged.

We liberals are so hot on the idea of helping the disadvantaged, but what do we ever do for the suffering freepers? Are we ready to practice compassionate liberalism, and finally do something to help these unfortunates?

I propose raising taxes on generic cigarettes, tank-tops and pork rinds to pay for government-sponsored assisted living for these people. This way, we wouldn't have to divert funds from other programs; instead, freepers could help support this plan with their own purchases, thereby raising their battered self-esteem.

It would be a home similar to the 75-unit apartment building for alcoholics in Seattle to which the Washington State Court of Appeals has just given the go-ahead. Under my proposal, freepers would be clothed, fed and housed, but more importantly, they would be provided with their own closed-circuit radio and television programs where they could spew all the hate and misinformation they wanted without polluting the rest of society.

These are just a few ideas, off the top of my head. Perhaps other DUers could weigh in on social programs for freepers, and creative ways to fund them. Working together, we can make the world a better place for these miserable half-wits.

1. Let 'em have their own state, wall it in, and let them go at each other.

3. That's not in keeping with the spirit of compassionate liberalism.
You know these people can't behave themselves.

Besides ... without supervision, they might continue to procreate.

21. Me too!
I was borned by freepers too! The male and the female were both freepers, and I was the only one of us chillins who didn't grow up to be a freeper.

Our parents even went so far as to vote for Wallace in '68, and wouldn't allow us to listen to the Beatles because the John Birch Society claimed they were communists. I was too old for Sesame Street, but my little sister wasn't allowed to watch it. Why? Communist inspired! (After all, Sesame Street taught children to be kind to each other regardless of race.)

I do like the idea of isolating them. Just don't put them together with other disabled citizens and I'll go along with it.:D

I am on disability and it's almost too bad to be forced to live in a county that is about 90% religious freeps. Don't cart me off with the freepers. PLEASE!

Do we really want them living among us?

7. Is this another pork-rind bashing thread? How anti-Mexican!

Pork rinds, or chicharrones, are a proud tradition of the children of this continent's indigenous people.

To levy additional taxes on this noble and ancient snack is an affront to the very people without whom the rest of the world would be forced to live a miserable existence devoid of tortillas and salsa, and understandable Spanish.

Would you really want a nation the size of the US to have millions of people lisping around like Julio Iglesias?

8. My apologies. You see, here in Washington State...
...pork rinds are associated with monster truck rallies, cheap beer and AM 570 KVI.

14. RegularBrad, I'm surprised at you! KVI? Amongst we liberals it's
KKKVI!

How are you doing tonight? Getting rained on? I just got some beef and lamb gyros from the Greek place at South Hill Mall, and am enjoying a night in.

11. Freepers or republicans?
Republicans are either wealthy or they support corporate/wealthy interests.

Let them pay for their own damn care.

That's how they want to treat everybody else; the vast majority of which can't even begin to afford the damn care and nobody is truly fighting to change our corrupt society.

Let them rot in hell. They're bad apples out only for themselves. They don't care about society. They're all out for themselves, and if society collapsed they wouldn't care unless it somehow affected THEM.

And liberals are in the minority, despite Bush's bombastb blunders. We need to look out for each other. Not THEM! They are not the ones suffering. The rest of Americans are. We should care about the Americans. Not the freepers.

...born with tiny brains and a seemingly-unlimited capacity for destruction. They need rest and medication.
