3. Dixie Walker aint a hall of famer
Right about Speaker and no about Cobb suprisingly there is no evidence he was. Slaughter? really  thats kinda sad because he was one of my grandfather's faves and my grandfather encountered them as a boy, and he definely hates them and they hate people like him. Landis on his feelings on Jackie Robinson there in lies a possiblity. So good job you got one of the three.

10. I know
I am just curious as to what he did to acquire such a reputation. Did he lynch a black person?

2. John Rocker, Jim Bunning(former GOP congressman)
Seriously, though, I've heard Ty Cobb was pathologically racist. Maybe he was one.

7. Amusingly
Cobb was pathologically racist...but he also was such a malignant person that he didn't join much of anything except the Tigers.

By the way has anybody ever heard any USEFUL baseball trivia?

19. LOL....'usefull BB trivia'...
No such thing. This stuff is all ego tripping stuff, but interesting none the less.

I had afriend, who could quote almost any damn stat ever written. In fact, he was one of the first I ever heard say that Doubleday was not responsible for BB. he was an incdible walking BB encyclopedia. I love the game, but his love far surpassed mine, in lightyears.

Unfortunately, he has gone to The Big Ballpark in the Sky. Killed in a freak accident witha drunk. Sometimes I wonder if he's just sitting in the dugout with some of the oldtime greats, just cheweing and talkin' BB.

1) Ducky
2) Death to Flying Things
3) The Hoosier Cannonball (no that isn't Dan Quayle)
4) No-Neck
5) Poosh-em-up
