Has Rumsfeld been demoted?
From the president downwards, the Bush administration has been on the counterattack this week over criticism of its Iraq policy. But Donald Rumsfeld, in many ways the chief spokesman on Iraq up to now has been noticeably absent.

Indeed, he appeared to get a slap in the political face with the news that the National Security Council (NSC) under Condoleezza Rice has established a new committee to oversee Iraq policy.

3 paragraphs from the end. Article is also interesting otherwise.

This more directly addresses your question, and is brand new:

3. No. They mock us again. Rummy as a cabinet member has
to appear before and report to congress. Rice as an advisor does not have to. This is just a ploy to spend that 87B without congressional oversight.

5. My guess with this bunch of crapheads is this:
Rummy is too busy planning the next attack. Syria is looking more and more like a likelyhood, but Iran is always there too.
So, he does not have the time to play the Iraq game anymore.

6. they're dead men
if they get stopped, and they know it....never think they have the national interest as concern (causing their actions)...all are predicated on one thing only to bush crims....survival. The American people must be warned; it is getting late, time is bush's enemy, each day a victory for them.
Remember 911. Bush inc DID IT. period
