Anybody like "Being John Malkovich" ?
I taped it from the Comedy Channel some weeks ago and just got around to watching it. I thought it was pretty good. I like JM, he's a cool actor. He was great in Of Mice and Men.

The funniest scene was where Malkovich goes through the portal and ends up in a restaurant where everybody looks like him. Ha. Women sitting at tables have his face, etc.

Was BJM based on a book by a science fiction author? I remember reading a story by HG Wells about an old man who takes over the body of a younger man, so he can live longer, but then the young man dies or something.

Pretty good movie I thought.

2. Excellent movie
Was just a fascinating concept. Didn't care much for the ending, with John Cusack's character being trapped, but ah well I can't expect every movie to end the way I want it to!

4. awesome movie
very unique subject matter, and an excellent cast. JM is one of the great under-rated actors of our time, IMHO. He's been fantastic in everything he's done. His range is exceptional.

This movie's release on DVD is what prompted me to buy a DVD player!

9. I liked it, but think it's over-rated
Also, like most movies, they start out well, and it petered out towards the end.

11. John Malkovich

I used to like John Malkovich until I heard that he made a "joke" about shooting Robert Fisk. It's bizarre, I guess he didn't like Fisk's reporting about Israel.

15. Are you sure it was just a joke?

Whatever the case, I try to separate the person from the artist. Unless it's an artist whose work I can't stand already, like Charlie Daniels.

12. Terrific film!

But then again, I've long been a fan both of Cusack and Malkovich.

And was Cameron Diaz unrecognizable or what???

13. Love it
Probably in my list of top 20 favorite movies. Not that I have an actual list really. It's just one of those movies that I can watch repeatedly and not get sick of. A true original.

14. No, I didn't like it
I :loveya: it! One of my all-time favorites. I also like Adaptation, written by the same guy. Not as good, perhaps, as BJM, but still great.
