I am having a serious craving for meatballs!
Gawd, I'm hungry! I had lunch at this Italian place on Saturday, and the meatball that came with my ziti was the size of a farkin' baseball!! Damn that was good.

This is a completely frivilous post. I'm just trying to cleverly run up my post count, so you poor evil DUers will not realize that I'm one of those stealth freepers, ready to spring out at you on Election Night 'O4!

Seriously.

3. It just doesn't matter. It just doesn't matter!
And even if we win, if we win, HAH! Even if we play so far above our heads that our noses bleed for a week to ten days; even if God in Heaven above points his hand at our side of the field; even if every man woman and child joined hands together and prayed for us to win, it just wouldn't matter because all the really good looking girls would still go out with the guys from Mohawk because they've got all the money! It just doesn't matter if we win or if we lose. IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER!

4. Mystery Meat
Attention. Here's an update on tonight's dinner. It was veal. I repeat, veal. The winner of tonight's mystery meat contest is Jeffrey Corbin who guessed "some kind of beef."

5. "you gets no bread with one meatball" . . .
A little man walked up and down,
He found an eating place in town.
He looked the menu through and through
To see what fifteen cents could do:

One meatball, one meatball,
He couldn't bought but one meatball.

He told the waiter near at hand
The simple dinner he had planned.
The guests were startled, one and all,
To hear that waiter oddly call:

"One meatball, one meatball,
This here gent wants one meatball."

The little man felt ill at ease,
Said "Some bread, son, if you please."
The waiter hollered down the hall
"Ya gets no bread with one meatball!"

One meatball, one meatball,
"Ya gets no bread with one meatball!"

with thanks to Josh White and/or Dave van Ronk (your choice) . . .:)

6. I make really good meatballs
I make some fresh breadcrumbs in the food processor and dump in the bowl with the meat, and then in the food processor whirl several cloves of garlic, a big handful of parsley and dump that in the bowl with the meat, and then add salt, a handful of grated parmesan cheese, some thyme and some fresh basil and fresh rosemary (dry would do), 1/2 cup of pasta sauce, and a glug of olive oil.

Fry those up and you've got scrumptious meatballs. Cover with your pasta sauce and simmer for a bit and yum, yum, yum.

7. Do they have to be fried first?
Or can you just put them in the sauce and let them simmer till they're cooked? Everytime I've tried to fry meatballs, they get all hard and crusty. I usually just buy frozen ones. Your recipe sounds good, though.

8. hmm
you could bake them in the oven instead of frying them if you're getting too much crust. Probably about 375 degrees for 20 minutes and then check them to see if they are done inside.

You probably could cook them in the sauce but you would need extra sauce because they would soak some up. And you would have to check to make sure they're done inside.
