Sure, you have to pity them somewhat, but it hurts.

The media were all set to descend on them like locusts and the team showed real character by preventing their own humiliation.

off my screen..the only thing good about the tigers were the announcers. this year i couldn`t get the games here,crappy radio and weather...anyone is better than chicago`s announcers but at least i can her uke in milwaukee....

5. Lifelong Tiger fan here

My buddy Mike B and I were at the Saturday night game (Sept 27) when the Tigs came back from an 8-0 deficit, scoring one in the fifth, three in the seventh, four in the eighth and one in the ninth (on a walk, steal, steal and wild pitch) to beat the Twins 9-8. The kids (Detroit is the youngest team in the majors) could've rolled over and played dead -- but they showed heart and have something positive to remember through the off-season.
Disappointed? Not me -- I'd be a Tiger fan if they lost 162 games.
