Reminds me of a cute thing a male friend of mine said. We were both talking about how intelligence was a big "attraction factor" for us (the two of us weren't romantically involved though). Anyway, he said, as if addressing a potential mate, "You are so intelligent, I want to lick your intelligence."

When I find out someone is intelligent, they actually start to become more physically attractive to me. Having a good sense of humor is also a BIG turnon.

I would want a man whose intelligence matches my own - if he's dumber, he's boring, but if he's smarter, who wants to play student forever? What would *I* have to offer in that scenario?

Besides, if we're talking about spending eternity together, well, eventually you'll have talked about everything there is to talk about. I'm not sure repeated orgasms would bore me as much as repeated conversations.

When you're dealing with two choices - brawn/great looks or brains I think the majority of us would go for the brains. Much more to it though. "Nice" and "intelligent" are good but just as important, to me, is a sexy guy ... who makes me laugh.

that's not what attracted me to him - what attracted my attention in the first place was a) he was interested in me, b) he made (makes) me laugh, and c) he's very bright and very intellectually curious.

I dated a couple of real hotties back in my 20s who were dumb as a bag of hair - it never lasted. For one thing, sex with stupid men is rarely much fun.

25. Intelligent guy

I'm married to an intelligent guy. Before him, I really liked an intelligent guy who wouldn't date me or anyone else in his undergraduate college career. They both got the top academic scholarship at my college which is awarded to ten students in each class. My first serious boyfriend was a little below average in intelligence. That was horrible. I like to be able to communicate on an intelligent level and discuss intellectual things, but I an intellectual type.

26. Brains, brains, and more brains

There was nothing I could stand less than stupid males. No imagination, no humor, they suck. Any stupid guy was gone (in my dating past) after one date. They have to keep up with me and exceed me preferably in brain power. My husband's definately smarter than the average person and okay for looks (I tell him he looks like a cross between Steve Buscemi and Pierce Brosnan), but I compromised a lot of my look preferences for brains. I like tall men, he's 5'9". I have this nose thing, his nose is too small.
Ah, to only find an even brainier, less neurotic guy with height. I'd be in big trouble.
