Poll question: What Is Your Favorite Rolling Stones Song....
I was driving in my car and heard Under My Thumb on the radio.... I forgot what a great song it is if you can get past the misogynistic lyrics...But then again most rock is patriachal in nature cept for Janice Joplin and Heart....

In any case what is your favorite Stones song...

P.S. I saw the Stones at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando in 1981 in what was supposedly their last tour.... The Stones and Van Halen for $16.00.... Wow... I was about twenty feet from the stage....

47. Those are the three best ones!
Not even listed on the poll.

The thing I can never understand is why people like Exile On Main Street LP so much -- "Tumblin' Dice" is the only song I really like on that album.

This was on the very first LP I bought. I think it was called 5X12.

Even though I love "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and how it's used in "The Big Chill" I'd have to say "Satisfaction" gives me the most pleasure to hear.

On edit, cause I'm an idiot..."Time is on my Side" was the song on that album.

Done with the Beatles.

Hey, isn't Under My Thumb actually a _revenge_ song? The expression is misogynistic, but the main emotion is revenge. (Not that revenge is any better than misogyny.)

31. Gimmie Shelter
The guitar and drum work on this song combined with the female vocals make this one of the all time great rock and roll songs. This and Jimi Hendrix's version of "All Along the Watchtower" are in a class of their own....both outstanding. I have them on a CD(one right after the other) and never grow tried of listening to them.
