Tell me, truthfully: (Family Guy question)
"Family Guy" season 3 (vol 2 DVD).

Are its episodes BETTER than vol 1 (seasons 1 and 2)?

1. Better is subjective.
However, Season 3 did really start to tweak the censors even more than normal :) I think every episode of Family Guy is pretty much excellent TV, though - so I might not be the right person to ask.

2. I love it when censors get pissed.
Rumor has it, FOX waited until the last moment to renew the series because of scared advertisers. By then, they had to get new writers as the old ones had gone on to do other things, it was just too late.

Still, ratings were never low and FOX kept moving the airdates from Sunday to Tuesday to Thursday during the third season, and even pulled an episode - which one reviewer had claimed was tamer than "All in the Family".

I think the show's controverial nature scared off the advertisers. Had the show been tamer, FOX would have kept it on.

Though it's more controversial in terms of body part and bodily function jokes than controvery surrounding topical figures (though they did stab and pick every once in a while). Still, I loved seasons 1 and 2 - and I only saw one episode of season 3, but it was so bad...

4. Hmm. It is is different...
It has great moments and definitely classic episodes, but has fewer of the flashbacks and vignettes that make the show so great.

6. Not exactly better, but still worth it

By the way, Family Guy is one of the best shows i've ever seen; even if it's such an obvious Simpsons rip-off.

too bad they've cancelled it, but now they've cancelled Futurama too.

"Everyone loves the Hypnotoad"

-edit- dumb joke added
