Lurked for a month or so, signed up. Still on the same name -- I just don't post all the time. I spend lots of time reading, and I never find anything new or interesting before I see it posted here, so I lurk a lot even now.

12. That's when I started too, the first

week of March. I'd heard of the Top Ten Conservative Idiots, but had never really paid much attention until I linked from another site. I was immediately hooked, and now I have to be on for at least an hour a day or I get really cranky!

DU is kinda like sex (although it's been a VERY VERY long time since I've had any, lol!), the more you have, the more you want.

I don't even remember how I stumbled upon this site; it was just so nice to know I wasn't alone. If you can believe it, I had never even visited a chatroom...a real neophyte! Now, I probably spend way tooo much time at DU - that's what getting bushwacked will do to you.

And I didn't accumulate many posts then, either.
My previous handle was named after a fictional character from a short sci-fi story I wrote, and the name, "XionCG" was too close to "Zion". Someone (who was later tombstoned) sent me a rather nasty PM concerning zionists and the whole mess in the middle east, so instead of getting into a tizzy with the person, I just switched names.
Sorry to get your hopes up, though.
