6. I saw the Dixie Chicks and The Eagles...

Sunday night at the MCI Center, Washington, DC. They were great...all of them. Natalie made a joke about Rush Limbaugh. She said that in reading about his recent troubles (and no, she said, she wasn't going to say anything bad about Rush), she had seen that he lived in a $20 million dollar mansion and she was dumbfounded. She said that with her own recent troubles, she had been thinking that if she had to find another line of work...well, she had a big mouth, too, and she wanted a $30 million dollar house!!! Very funny. Anyway, it was a concert to benefit the Recording Artists Coalition (http://www.recordingartistscoalition.com/) so they can set up a lobbying office in DC to counter the influence of the RIAA, who, Don Henley said, ripped off artists and consumers. It turned out to be a pretty political night. He also jabbed at Michael Powell and then said maybe he should stop while he was ahead...and he did! I loved it!!
