That site, bare none, is the most horrible website to negotiate through. You find the forums, but you can barely follow the threads because of the horrible lack of organization with their forums.

I read the other post about the cost to run FR and the fact that we are 'assuming' that the owner is making like a ton of money off the website. First, we have no idea just how much it costs to run that site and second the owners do deserve to make some money off of this site (I mean, the owners do spend alot of time keeping this site running). However, I would like to think that for the salary that these forum owners are making that they would be providing a useful and functional service.

At DU, I truly think that is the case. The forums are easy to use and rarely (except when we upgraded software or some sort of national crisis/event) have we had major down time or slowness.

Personally, I think if they're having financial problems it isn't the owner, but the members who are starting to realize that the Free Repubilc/neo-conservative mantra isn't really worth a few dollars every month.

But that's just my thoughts!
