1. I think the 70s ending killed CB radio fun

I remember as a youngin' screwing around on the CB that was just in the 80s...and early 90s. My buddies and I had them beside our beds as 12-15 year olds....at 2:00am you'd here.

3. It wasn't the Internet

I suspect that shortwave sets got cheaper. Regardless, as noted above, CB was a short-lived fad, over long before anybody had even heard of the Internet.

4. Too much skip

There's something seriously wrong with the ionosphere. I had my CB on during my BC trip and I couldn't hear a damn thing except skip from Florida and Texas unless somebody was 100 feet away from me.
