Page is the singlemost over-rated guitar player of all time. He couldn't do worse if his left hand was webbed and missing three fingers.

The Eagle's first eponymous LP is a classic but mostly they sucked too. Some nice guitar from Felder and later, Walsh.

They got lost in the post-punk hoopla over New Wave crap. They weren't easily catagorized and never recieved the support they deserved. Verlaine was and is a brilliant writer and musician.

They started out in the 60s, just like the Beatles. "Satisfaction", "Lady Jane", "Paint it Black" etc. all came out in the 60s.

The "Gimme Shelter" documentary about the infamous Altamonte concert that featured security by The Hells Angels came out in 1970, by which time the Stones were already legends.

This band has the best horn section and best bassist in Rock n Roll history. Any decent bass player out there owes a great debt of gratitude to Rocco Prestia. The guy redefined the way the instrument is played.

Jaco got his whole gig from Rocco. Rocco invented fingerstyle funk. Even though I said the most influential in Rock n Roll history, I will argue that Rocco even holds his own with Mingus. As for Jack Bruce and Larry Taylor, they aren't even in the same stratosphere as Rocco. <ON EDIT> Of course that is all just my opinion, but if you listen to Rocco you will see why he is considered one of the most influential bassists ever.
