You've all got me excited for the Basket Ball season to start in full. And though it's now in pre-season, none of our frigging Pacer games are televised until Friday.

Prediction: The Pacers have already beat Boston once. They're going to keep doing it too.

But I am a fan who lost the love-of-her-hoops-life with John Stockton's retirement and Karl Malone becoming a *gag* Laker.

So I'm looking for a new reason to believe.

So I have to see Karl Malone in a Lakers uniform.

I've been intentionally prologing my denial, saying "If I don't see it it doesn't exist."

Denial ends tonight at 7:30.

3. If I am going to stop thinking about baseball (which I won't)

I'll be thinking about Pats v. Dolphins down in Miami this Sunday. Basketball ain't on the screen. I'm not stupid enough to try and talk smack about the Celtics. Eastern Conference. It is what it is.

8. Boston is gonna have one hell of a lousy year

They were terribly exposed by MY Nets (N-E-T-S NETS NETS NETS) during last year's playoffs.

They're undersized. Undertalented. And have only one good player (Pierce).

Walker is possibly the worst All-Star in the NBA right now.

My Nets are taking the title this year.

Some predictions:

NJ wins the championship.

Kidd, Martin, Jefferson and Mourning all make the All-Star team.

Nets win 70 games.
