Question for DU LAN admins about file sharing software.
I'm on a LAN computer running XP and don't have admin rights but would like to install a file sharing program anyway so I can pick up a few songs to kill the boredom at work. I have two questions:

- Does anyone know of a program that can be installed without admin rights.
- Does anyone know how I could hack admin access to my computer on XP?

Any takers?

1. Not gonna go there.
Any of those file-sharing sites can open your PC - and your corporate network - to some real danger.

Save it for home, get a portable MP3 player for work and blast your ears out.

2. Don't do it
You expose your employer to massive penalties. The RIAA knows that when people DL stuff at work, it's the employer has the deep pockets.

In most places, if they catch you DLing stuff, they will fire you.

If you have to grab warez and tunez at work, get a copy of PC-Anywhere and automate your home computer with it. That way, it's your account, not your employer's.
