I heard Will give his talk at the Université de Paris on Monday night. The evening was hosted by the French chapters of
Democrats Abroad and
Americans Against the War.
He was brilliant... even though he had to interrupt himself every three sentences for the French translator. I think the majority of us in the auditorium were probably used to handling the bilingual thing, but our continental novice Will handled it like he'd been doing it all his life. A total pro. Didn't lose an ounce of his fire.
If you get a chance to hear him speak... JUST. DO. IT. !!!
By the way, I was delighted that Franco-American journalist Philip Golub (whose name you should all note, in red ink, in the "good guy" column) from "Le Monde Diplomatic" was also on the program for a dialogue with Will after his talk.
Way to go, Will! Best of luck with the rest of your "old Europe" tour!
