Who has seen "Wrong Turn" |
|
I just watched it again last night. It just came out on video/DVD. I LOVE this movie. I had no intention of going to see it when it first hit the theaters. The trailer I saw on TV made it look like typical tits and gore fare but word of mouth here started spreading with most people saying that they were surprised by how good this movie was. I was surprised as well. There was definitely room for improvement: the cast was too cookie cutter attractive and you know from the beginning who's going to survive in the end. But I loved the fact that the flick was so straightforward with no unnecessary subplots--especially romantic ones-- and the main characters didn't makes humorous wisecracks when they were in peril, as is so common in horror flicks these day. In fact, "Wrong Turn" is virtually humorless. Just straight-on chills--and done without an excess of gore.

Will watch it soon. I'll rent anything with the "tits" and "cookie cutter attractiveness" of Eliza Dushku. Hell, "Bring It On" is a fucking masterpiece, far as I'm concerned. :D

Is than an uprising of feminine hygiene products?
I'm sorry, I know that's tasteless, but my girlfriend came up with it and I thought it was great.

it's not an uprising of feminine hygiene products. I"m picturing Dushku (aka Douchcoup) and your girlfriend in a kickass catfight now.

3. I've heard that it's the throwback to 70's horror |

That House of a Thousand Corpses wanted to be. It's on my list. I'll probably get it this weekend.

Thats what alot of people say but I actually enjoyed this more than anything of the kind that I saw in the '70s and '80s.

So I'm bound to see it someday soon.
I hope it's better than "Cabin Fever". What a freeping waste of time that film was!

8. It's much better than "Cabin Fever" |

The only thing I liked about Cabin Fever is that it wasn't so easy to predict who would live or die.
