I always think first of "Don't You Forget About Me," by Simple Minds. It was my senior prom theme (which in itself could have made a good John Hughes movie).

Except for "Holiday Road, I tried to pick the crappiest song from each movie.
("Vacation" is OK because my Grandfather was in it.)
