To Cubs fans, from a White Sox Fan.

I rooted for the Cubs all the way through the playoffs. I didn't care if it was the team from the North Side: the city had gone too long without seeing any of its baseball teams in the Series. Baseball is more near and dear to the hearts of Chicago fans than most people realize and I wanted to see the city celebrate.

I know many Sox fans share my sentiments. Be proud that your team got this far...and forgive the fan that acted as many other fans would.

I never liked the feud myself. I only favor the Cubs because the romantic in me loves an underdog, and I grew up with NL ball.

I love the city of Chicago, and treasure my memories of attending BOTH Cubs and Sox games some 20 summers ago.

As for the disappointment tonight - be it ever so thus for Cubs fans. :-)
