4:41 PM Eastern and I've already put away one martini!

Dear Gawd the day I had at work! Meeting with a complete assh--- over her decision to favor the rights of one client over another. Suspension of a staff person over inappropriate interaction with a client. Aforementioned client in my office - PISSED that the staff person was suspended. Tense meeting with the BIG boss over stalled contract negotiations with the union. Leave work early to pick my kids up after school because the babysitter had a medical emergency. And the capper: I'm on vacation tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday. So everything became even more urgent because I know they need to be resolved before I get back to work next Wednesday.

Tense, pressure filled day. However, I am grateful that I still have a job.

Next, I've got to help my 2nd grader with her math homework! Is is too soon to chill that second martini?
