I Just Got a Teaching Gig!

for next semester. High school class (10-12 grade lever) at a resource center for homeschooled kids. I got to write my own course proposal and everything...

Project: Entrepeneur

Students will create and operate a business from scratch. Each 4-5 member team will create a turnkey business concept, analyze various business models, write a business plan, create a marketing strategy, then operate an actual business which will serve as a fundraising project for the resource center. In a collaborative yet structured environment, each student on the team will manage a division based upon their interests and talents, and assist in the other divisions.

Fee: Materials costs will be determined by the students, based upon the project chosen, and raised by the students as part of their coursework.

That sounds awesome.

I took a job two years ago as a professional trainer and I found myself loving it. Unfortunately, the gig only lasted a few months, but I really enjoyed it a lot. Your project sounds like a lot of fun! Good luck and enjoy it.

And knock a few liberal ideas into those home-schooled heads while yer at it ;)
