What if Rush became a liberal?
What if Rush became a liberal after this? Would all of you still forgive him after what he did to the Democrats and liberals?

Personally, I would congratulate him on making it past rehab. But honestly, I wouldn't want him being a spokesperson for the left if he can't even get his facts straight.

But then again, he would bring a lot of converts to the liberal side.

What do you all think?

3. anybody willing
to follow Bush blindly can stay in their own little retarded world. Bush coming to the Left would just push the left even more left.

6. Maybe
if Wormtounge takes a good hard look at himself and comes to realise the tremndous damage he has done to this country and not only admits it but works hard to undo some of that damage, then maybe I would forgive him.

7. Sort of like David Brock's conversion?
Rush would have to issue a whole lot of industrial strength and very detailed mea culpas before I could accept his conversion as genuine. But it won't happen. The wing nuts seem to love him all the more for his duplicitous drug-addicted behavior.

10. What if the sun didn't come up tomorrow?
Probably about as likely. Pigboy has a long, hard road to tred before he ever goes through enough pain to think about changing his ways that drastically.

13. I don't want him on my team! :P
No, seriously- people can change. If he sincerely changed his political views and stopped believing that Might Makes Right, then good on him.

I wouldn't want to see him as a pubic spokesman, though. No Rush Limbaugh: Liberal show, nothing. If he just wanted to live a private life and vote correctly every so often, wonderful.

14. Supposedly he's already been through rehab a few times unsuccessfully
I don't think you have to worry much about Rush turning liberal. His audience has embraced felons like Gordon Liddy and Oliver North; I suspect they won't turn their back on Rush for a little hillbilly heroin problem. (OK, a BIG hillbilly heroin problem.) He'll drop back into his former position without missing a beat, Florida prosecutors willing.

Now, leaving aside the improbability, if you ask me would I welcome Rush were he to lay open the whole right-wing media machine and come back from the dark side to become a left-wing pundit, the answer is of course. Would I listen to him? No, he'd still be a facile liar, even were he OUR facile liar.
