Squirrel cook-off set for this weekend
Is this worth adding to my life list of things I have done at least once? I'm thinking....................no.

<Snip> "Hunters will help hunters once again this Sunday at the fourth annual St. Hubert Benevolent Society Squirrel Cook-off at the Washington Camp Grounds on Bayou Courtableau."

"The cook-off begins at 10 a.m. and judging will be at 2 p.m. Five judges will rate the dishes on tenderness of meat, seasoning and presentation."

"There also will be fun jumps and games, a poker run, barbecue dinners and all day music featuring the Hurricanes and sit-in musicians. Thibodeaux said anyone who wants to sit in, and can play, is welcome. Also, there is the annual BB-gun shooting contest for children, 5 to 15." <snip>

with mashed potatos, gravy, biscuits (real ones...not whomp biscuits), with some polk or collard greens. YUM!

5. The French used to send people from their version of the Peace Corp...
...to help these people. Presumably, they didn't have to teach them to prepare french fried squirrel.

You've all heard of ethnic jokes. In Louisiana they have Cajun jokes.
