anybody remember "Midnight in Moscow?" a little tune...
...got fair airplay on radio mid to late 1960s.
it was an instrumental, or what sounded mostly like a Dixieland Jazz band playing a traditional Russian tune. I can't remember the name of the band, but I hope someone here can. It was a little ironic that this little Russian tune was on the radio at the height of the Cold War.

Anyone?

3. the tune American Patrol is on that LP too.
My brother wanted to play it on the ship's PA when they sailed into home port (Norfolk). Thought it would be more fun that the usual martial music they blasted as they steamed in, manning the rails. This was indeed the height of cold war; they were coming to port after a stint in the Cuban blockade. That was a rather nerve wracking October around our house as I recall.

...of Radio Moscow's world service on shortwave.

6. Kenny Ball and His Jazzmen

I have the single on the old Kapp label. It also turns up on a CD comp titled, "Billboard's Top Pop hits of 1962." A truly forgotten 45!
