3. Bulbous explosion...
A few days ago, the light bulb in my fridge got really bright and stayed that way. I thought the Virgin Mary was appearing to us. Unfortunately, it exploded yesterday morning, but the miracle is, no one got hurt. :)

Yesterday, no matter how tedious the task, I "embarked upon" it. You've "embarked upon" the word bulbous.

The first syllable "bul" really stands out. I think the word would lose everything if the emphasis was on "bous".

The bulbous bulb on the bus bulged brightly between blinded bystanders.

I should've had some alcohol myself.
