Just sitting down to enjoy reading more posts here. It's Friday evening. Work week's over. In a nostalgic mood, listening to The Boss Bruce -- Local Hero off the Lucky Town album; eating chicken or something that tastes like it; a prudent measure of my favorite intoxicant; and now introducing myself here in a kind of general way.

I'm a Bay Area Tech writer/Instructor, 45, single white guy, former army (two enlistments), some interests include truth, democracy, dissent, history, the ongoing creative civic discourse, freedom of speech, sovereignty for all everywhere, retrieving the soul of my country, revolution if indicated, poetry at all times.

I'm looking forward to participating on the boards and learning as much as I can from all you hardcores!

on edit: any friend of springsteen is a friend of mine. in fact, 'born in the usa' came on the radio as i pulled into the driveway just a while ago after a very long day and for some reason i sat there and listened to the whole thing and felt like i was going to cry the whole time....
