How do I get these damn UPC stickers off my ceramic-ware?
I bought some ceramic bowls the other day, and they have the UPC stickers attached to them, and they don't just pull off like they are supposed to.

:wtf:

How do I get the damned things off??!!

11. Okay. So far, hot water is the only thing I have that's been mentioned
How about taking a hair dryer to the sticker? I've been told that helps take them off. But I've never actually used that method.

6. Lighter fluid.
Zippo or Ronsonol. Dissolves the adhesive quite nicely.

15. Citrus type cleaners work well.
Any kind of solvent should dissolve the glue with a bit of rubbing it in.

12. An excellent idea! I might resort to that if I can't get the things off
What the hell are they doing sticking them with industrial strength glue, anyway? It's not like they're sticking things together that need to stay permanently adhered - a UPC is a TEMPORARY sticker you idiots!!

13. Olive Oil.
But that's only because you said you don't have Goo Gone. Circular motion. Eventually, the glue dissolves.

14. Here's my advice
Soak in hot water so that at least the paper part comes off. And then comes the annoying part....

Take some type of tape like scotch tape and press on top of the sticky gummy stuff, rub the tape on the sticky stuff and then carefully pull off the tape. Repeat until sticky stuff is gone.

Learned about the tape thing when trying to take price stickers off of 'Santa' gifts.

What in the heck do they use on those stickers anyway? Maybe they should try that stuff on those cheap envelopes that don't seal.
