Wednesday afternoon I get this phone call out of the blue from a tech staffing agency. I have talked to the recruiter before over the past few years.

He'll usually give me a call wanting to know if I know of anyone looking for an engineering job or something along those lines. Most of the jobs he has were temp, in another state, low pay or out of my league -- so when he called I expected much of the same....

BUT this time it's for a job right up my alley. It's a permanent placement, close by, good pay and it's for drafting/graphic design.
So I sent him my resume.

He calls me yesterday, asks a few more questions and tells me he's faxing my resume over to the company that afternoon.

He mentioned that the company moves fast on hirings -- sooooo I'm hoping for a call today for an interview.

A little Karma and good thoughts is greatly appreciated!

I was hoping (expecting) to hear something yesterday... but nada

I know there are a gazillion reasons for not getting a call... they could have been out of town, day off, busy with other stuff etc.

Now I have to hope on hearing something on Monday or later next week.

oh well, I hope my nails are long enough to put up with my biting them... :)

after adopting our greyhound... we just had to help out the organization..

although at the moment we are feeling a wee bit guilty as we opted out of fostering another greyhound at this time... too much family/freinds coming in for visits this summer and we have to get the house whipped into shape and there would be little time to spend helping a greyhound "adjust" to living in a home

however, we did tell the organization that once the friend/family invasions have passed we would foster another one in the fall.
