Favourite Nick Cave/Birthday Party song?
I know this thread will fold faster than Superman on laundry day, but what's your favourite from each era?

Mine:

Birthday Party: Figure of Fun, or Hamlet (POW POW POW)--can't decide.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds: O'Malley's Bar

2. Can't name just one...that's too limiting.
Birthday Party: "King Ink"

Bad Seeds: Way too many to pick just ONE. "The Ship Song", "Stagger Lee", "Up Jumped the Devil", "The Curse of Millhaven", "Where the Wild Roses Grow", "Do You Love Me (Part 1)", "The Mercy Seat", "Red Right Hand", "As I Sat Sadly By Her Side"...also his collaboration with Barry Adamson from the latter's album Oedipus Schmoedipus, "The Sweetest Embrace".

If you couldn't tell, I REALLY like Cave's music....in my opinion, he's one of the all-time great songwriters, and ranks up there with Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for lyrical artistry.

5. Tough Question
I've been listening to Nick since 1986 but still haven't delved back to Birthday Party for idunnowhat reason.

I don't think I have any one favorite, but:

John Finn's Wife
Papa Won't Leave ...
Loverman
Idiots Prayer
Rock of Gibralter
As I Sat Sadly ...
The Mercy Seat

all rock my world pretty hard.
