Robert DeNiro Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer

ABC7 Eyewitness News has learned Oscar winning actor Robert DeNiro has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

According to DeNiro's publicist Stan Rosenfield, doctors say the condition was diagnosed at an early stage because of regular checkups by the actor. Because of the early detection and DeNiro's reported excellent physical condition, doctors project a full recovery.

DeNiro won Oscars for his roles in "Raging Bull" and "The Godfather, Part Two." He was most recently seen in the comedy sequel "Analyze That."

It was found early, and that's VERY treatable.

I love DeNiro. I have full faith that he'll beat this. Prostate cancer affect almost ALL men above a certain age. It's a slow-growing, non-aggressive cancer in almost all cases.

its good to be rich in this country. If he had been poor, like many of the characters he played, he would not have this diagnosed early, and would most likely die.
