If your sister uses this term "brave" to describe the little monkey then I suggest that you do the following.
First ask her for examples of what bravery means.
I always thought that bravery was saving others, from a horrible fate, by risking their own life in the process or standing up for the little guy/gal. Running into a burning building to save a child, standing up to the schoolyard bully, exposing corruption at the threat of your own life...these are what I think of in terms of bravery. Outing a CIA agent and promising a full investigation, while laughing all the time, is not a shining example of bravery.
Here are some counter to what she may bring up at the dinner table:
1. He did nothing then he ran: Were was * when the first WTC tower was hit? Oh yes he was sitting in class listening to children read meter and verse from their assignments. It was much better to be there then act like the President and go into action and do something. But wait he did something he sat there for an extra 10-15 minutes and showed his bravery to the world by doing...nothing...while the other planes were hitting their targets. Bravery in action.
After that * was ecorted to AF1 and flown to various strongpoints of bravery in the U.S., but none of them seemed to be in Washington D.C.: they were hiding places. Very brave.
"I mean we were trying to get out of harms way", said the President when asked where he had been that day. Luckily for *, Karl Rove sent out some disinformation that the terrsts werelooking for chimpy's plane, and he had to be protected. That turned out to be a lie.
2. Do the brave lie so they can hurt others? 16 little words in the SOTU speech sent us off to a ill-gotton war for....WMD's, or was it to get Saddam, or was it to free the Eye-Wrackie people, or....well the list goes on. Take your pick.
3. Do the brave own up for their past mistakes...like going AWOL? For a Commander and Theif * is one of the most secretive Presidents that we have had in 30 years. If he opened up his service record to show where he was during the period in question of his alleged AWOL status then everybody could breathe a sigh of relief.
4. Is it brave to let others die when you can save their lives? Lets's face it. Eye-Wrack is about oil and controling the Middle East. *'s plan is to stablize the ME by force therefore insuring the oil still flows in U.S. dollars. It is also a great staging point for Syria and Iran. It is just too bad that the Iraqies and the rest of the ME don't see it that way. So is it brave to let U.S. servicement die for the chimp's conquests? Does your sister have any boys? Let her think about that.
Sorry for the long winded post, but I have an older brother who, at Thanksgiving last year, said that the U.S. is at WAR with evil...to the shock of his parents and others. If you let the words stand unchallenged then they give wieght to the speaker. I will not let any words go unchallenged this year even if it means having to show how uninformed I think he has become. Sometimes you have to say what you know is right even if it makes others angry. Now that's bravery.
