What have you eaten...that tastes like 'CHICKEN'...but, of course, ISN'T CHICKEN?

First time I had one, I realized that what I'd previously thought had been chicken my whole life (factory grown, frozen), didn't taste much like chicken.

After we switched to only eating free-range chicken and noticed the huge difference, something occurred to me.

Maybe what they've been TELLING us is chicken all along is actually some weird reptile (like snake, or iguana). That would explain why everyone says lizard takes like chicken -- IT'S NOT CHICKEN!!

9. I've eaten snails and turtle

But neither tasted like chicken. I still like the snails, and I ate the turtle as a small child, long before I knew about the environmental ramifications of eating them. Still love escargots, but it must be that EVERYTHING tastes good smothered in garlic butter! MMM!

well, my stepson - whose pet he nominally is - insists his name is Sweetums. But I'm the one who feeds him and takes him out to run around, and I say his name is Tastes Like Chicken - especially if he does the reptile mambo on my face one more time. We WILL discover his culinary attributes if he doesn't behave his scaly (not so) little green ass.
