The New Yorker roasts the Rush “Junkie” Limbaugh.
Edited on Tue Oct-21-03 08:13 PM by The Lone Liberal
For those of you (include me) who are having a great belly-laugh over the sanctimonious loud-mouth’s payback, you need to get thee hither and purchase the latest New Yorker. It is a short piece, but as a great side benefit you get to read an article by Seymour Hersh that details how the B* administration dismantled the intelligence community and made the big lie possible.

Back to the Limbaugh article which is featured in the Talk of the Town section. In the article the writer points out how the rabid-right is full out defending the “crack-head.” Coulter and Bozell are both quoted. Coulter as saying that “ Rush’s behavior was not all that dissolute.” DISSOLUTE?? The windbag was cramming controlled substance down his throat with both hands. 100,000 pills!! What the hell is Coulter’s standard for dissolute. She must be hell on well down in Miami. Wait a minute Miami = Crank. Well now that puts a different light on the situation.

Bozell says, “ …it was highly courageous for Rush to admit his addiction.” Well, I guess the boil on his ass cleared up because he was not too courageous when it came to putting him fat butt in harms way back in the 60s. Of course as Cheny once put it when defending why he didn’t go, Rush might have just had “other priorities.”

The one thing the article will give you is a great quote from the “vile and illegal drug merchant.” Rush is quoted as saying, “ If people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up.” Wow, hard sayings, but you have to remember he was in an illegal-drug induced stupor at the time. Stupor is that the root of the word “stupid” or is it the other way around. Makes no difference, you just spin it right and it comes out “junkie.”

1. Christmas in Ditto-Land
Rush won't be getting out of the rehab until Christmas. And when he does, he'd better be a changed person or he's going right back to drug abuse. He doesn't deserve any sympathy, and he's not getting much.

His followers and supporters are hypocrites. Imagine if it were Bill Clinton!

2. And if it was some prominent Democrat who had admitted to the drug use,
Rush the hypo (er, hypocrite -- not just hippopotamus, which is what he looks like) would be screaming bloody murder.

Is, like, totally barf-inducing. I recommend one and all read it.

8. To The Stocks! To The Stocks!
Here's a perfect one to be pelted with food, used condoms, litterbox contents... and all while a huge picture of Michael Moore hugging Hillary is in front of him.

I try to laugh at these people, but I still get just so pissed off...

5. My pet perversions?
Edited on Tue Oct-21-03 09:23 PM by Harrad
"Leftists have the world's largest and most inclusive support group for their failures and pet perversions."

I hope he's not insinuating that I mollest my cats!? That would be just too much! :D And just when does this "support group" meet? Too funny!

Harrad.

On edit:
"Can you imagine confronting the exquisitely-subsidized liberal establishment – day after day, year after year – on its home turf, without a support group? Can you imagine enduring the vile hatred of the left on every issue upon which you dare to speak out? Can you imagine the hate mail, the organized campaigns to silence your voice, the personal attacks?"

They don't actually believe this swill do they?

7. Of course...
he wasn't nearly as "dissolute" as anyone who might have gotten a windy on the job. Just a gasbag, conman and junkie. Nothing dissolute about that.

Courageous? Takes some huge stones to admit what everyone knows. Takes even bigger ones to deal with it after you've been caught.

These people have absolutely no shame.

We need the stocks back. Remember the stocks? Public humiliation for assholes and their petty misdeameanors.

9. Nah, we don't need the stocks
We need to send his biggie sized ass to prison. With the amounts of pills they are talking about, I'm sure they could make a trafficing charge stick. That would get him more prison time, and we'd get to go past calling him a junkie to stamping the title of drug trafficer on his massive forehead.

Let's give him, and his followers exactly what they have been screaming for years for. No rehab, no counseling, lock his tubby ass in a dark hole for a few years. I mean, him and his troglobyte followers always say the best way to reform criminals is harsh prison time, let's see how reformed he is after a decade of beatings and rapes.

10. None of the fascist moralists have any credibility
They have been shown not only to be sinners like the rest of us, but sinners and hypocrits on a scale that shows that God is disgusted with them and letting his assistant Karma bite them on the ass.

Rush is a lonely, self-centered blowhard hypocrit who condemns people getting high, and then takes enough pills to get a whole village high.

Bill Bennett is a sanctimonius scold on virtually every possible moral subject except gluttony and gambling. Blows millions at the casinos and eats enough to make him as large as he is.

George W. Bush babbles about honor and integrity, yet he is an unaccountable deserter, alcoholic and warmonger.

The list goes on and on.
