and the effects are still with me. Magnesium Citrate tastes like Liquid Plumber and has the same effect. x( :puke:
When can I expect to feel, um, regular again? I didn't buy lunch today. It seems that I just rented it. x(

1. I had to drink that stuff about 8 or 9 years ago |
|
for a test where the doc needed to see my kidneys (hence the need to clear the bowel).
The bad news is that I came down w/ some kind of intestinal flu just before the test, so I was ALREADY spending most of my time in the bathroom. I called the doc to see if I still had to drink that stuff and the answer was "yes". Man, I was miserable.
I think I remember feeling better the following day.

2. I had a kidney test today too (Intravenous Pyelogram) |
|
the test was easy. The effects of this liquid are awful.
We missed you on Saturday. Did you see the threads with pics?

3. I am so sorry to have missed it |
|
I've been hit with a financial triple whammy (prom, auto repair and sick kitty) and couldn't even afford the gasoline to get into town. I did see two threads of pictures (I think one belonged to progmom, and I forget who had the other one). It looks like everyone had a good time.
I think that's the same test I had done.

9. Did you drink enough water to flush everything through ? |
|
You may want to up your fluid intake today. Replace what's being lost AND flush the Mag out.

10. That stuff is vile. Try sipping a sports drink (Gatorade, etc.)... |
|
to get your system back on track and to prevent dehydration from all the water you've lost. Things should slow down later today or this evening. Maybe some clear broth at that point would feel good on your tummy.
You have my sincere sympathies.

13. Are you allowed to eat yet? |
|
If so, you might try a peanut butter sandwich, since peanuts have a binding effect...
