What Is Up With The IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base) Message Boards?

seems to be a nest of freepers and assholes. Not that they have to be mutually exclusive.

1. Seems to have always been that way.

Many of the people on that board have no perspective on movies made before they were born, and cannot fathom that opinions on movies are Subjective, not Objective.

If they don't like a movie, it sucks, and everyone who says different is open for abuse.

Then there are the freepers who feel compelled to bash any actor, film or TV show that they perceive as liberal. Take a look at the West Wing board sometime if you want a laugh...or to lose your lunch, depending.

I rarely post over there except to answer a question or provide a fact to correct an erroneous perception, then I beat hell outta Dodge. :)

But IMDB is still the best game in town for movie info in general.
