Poll question: Lights on or Lights off?
Which way do you prefer your antler dance?

put your hands on your head like a big ole moose
keep your elbows high and your legs real loose
goof around the floor, kinda leap and prance
shake your middle just a little
and you're doing the Antler Dance.

Or did you mean f***ing?

4. I'm chiming in for candles as well
But almost never without any light at all. I like to look. :-) though sometimes, in the middle of the night, it's nice with no light at all...

5. First light in the morning isn't bad either.
At least from what I remember...:evilfrown:

Lots of light - not sexy (unless it's sunlight)
A little light (candles or a soft nightlight) - sexy
Completely dark - that can be sexy, too

My favorite is candles though...

20. Candlight is indeed the best for
the "dance", very romantic and it's fun to watch yourselves in the shadows that flicker on the walls. I prefer either the dark or candlelight, I don't like it in light.

I remember reading once that men and women are very different when it comes to this issue. Men are very visual and prefer light, while women are more auditory and prefer it with the lights off or very dim. All too true in my experience!

8. We usuaully have the lights on
My husband says that he thinks that I am sexy and likes to look at me. That makes me happy when he says stuff like that. Often it is afternoon anyway. I don't like having sex when I am tired.

12. I chose night light, because candles or
other low illumination is probably the nicest feeling.

Used to have a red light, though, and I've certainly tangled antlers a lot of times in full daylight (outside and inside) or artificial light...it really doesn't matter, but low light just seems the most intimate for those drawn-out, marathon experiences.

Candles really are especially nice, but when you fall asleep in each other's arms so romantically you've got to watch that you're not rudely awoken by a firefighting crew that was summoned to your house.

Also, it seems that some women - at least when they're feeling a particularly negative body image - don't much like to merge antlers in anything but subdued light. Or no light. And even no light is fine - there's usually some, anyway, unless there're blackout curtains and no significant LCD displays in the room, but there've been times when I've wished for a head-mounted light so that I could see what I should (and should not) be doing. Also, total darkness denies all the visual stimuli and, at least to me, that's half the fun. :-)

Low-light rules, but I wouldn't say no even to the glare of high noon on an exposed sand dune in a national park...in fact, I didn't say no to that. :D

Though the camera crew can't always focus or get good footage with low light levels... :D

15. Cool. Another red light person.
I 'used to' have a red light as well- loved it, but I would say that or candles as well. I totally agree. One wants to see what they're doing, but one does not want to have to squint under bright light either.

Hey, It sounds like though you should get yourself one of those miners hats or something though. That would do the trick. ;)

Hey...the lights in DU just dimmed. They should be red lights, really. Watch yourself!

(good advice...I watch myself all the time :D )

EDIT: self-censored to at least maintain an illusion of propriety in this thread. :-)

17. Small flashlight?
If it's going to get lost it has to me a bigger flashlight. I just read story about something along those lines anyway.

Huh...what was that?..."Uh, nothing going one here, dear. Go back to baseball."

ut oh...better watch myself too!

19. It's not the size of the flashlight, baby, it's
the number and quality of photons ejected. :D

And baseball? All those smooth, long pieces of wood and balls...you have to wonder. :-)

Real men play tic-tac-toe...
