I was involved in a collision at home plate tonight. A real live, honest to god, bang bang, runner charging home from third barrelling into me, knocking me on my back play.

AND I HELD ONTO THE BALL!

AND HE WAS OUT.

AND HE GOT THROWN 0UT OF THE GAME.

We won 20-8, I had two hits, couple of ribbies, a throwing error that led to a run being scored by the other team.

BUT I HELD ONTO THE BALL!

Yeah, it was a squib right in front of the plate, I got a slow start after it and then rushed the throw and threw way the hell over the first baseman's head.

7. It's getting cold out there Rene

We played right on the Hudson River tonight and it was windy. If we do well in the playoffs we'll be playing thru Nov. 14, but the games are all way the hell up town. Cool playing under the lights tho. Wish we could play on Hudson and Leroy, I love that field. But it's very pretty in Riverbank Park.
