What music is getting you through these days?
Me, I'm still listening to too much Foo Fighters...

I'm in the sky tonight,
There I can keep by your side
Watching the wide world riot and hiding out
I'll be coming home next year
Into the sun we climb
Climbing our wings will burn white
Everyone strapped in tight
We'll ride it out
I'll be coming home next year
Come on get on get on
Take it till life runs out
No one can find us now,
Living with our heads underground
Into the night we shine
Lighting the way we glide by
Catch me if I get too high
When I come down
I'll be coming home next year
I'm in the sky tonight
There I can keep by your side
Watching the whole world wind around and round
I'll be coming home next year
I'll be coming home next year
Everything's alright up here
When I come down
I'll be coming home next year
Say good-bye

3. Old school west coast rap
Damn now what was I to do?
She's cryin over me and she was feelin blue.
I said um "don't cry, dry your eye,
and here comes your mother with those two little guys."

Her mean mother steps and says to me "hi"
decks Alli in the face and punched her in the eye
punched her in the belly and stepped on her feet
slammed the child on the hard concrete

the bitch was strong, the kids was gone,
something was wrong, what was goin on?
I tried to break it up and said "stop it just leave her"
she said "If I can't smoke none, then she can't either"

She grabbed closely by my socks, so I broke the hell out and grabbed my sack of rocks
They gave chase and caught up quick, they started crying on my shoes and grabbin my dick and said

Why don't you give me a play, so we can break it down the Long Beach way?
And if you give me that, okay, I'll give you all my love today.
Doggy Doggy Doggy can't you see, somehow your words just hypnotize me,
and I just love your jazzy ways, doggy dogg your love is here to stay

And on and on and on she kept goin, the bitch been around before my mama's born.
I said "cheer up" and gave her a hit, i said "you can't have me, i'm too young for you, bitch"
She said "no you're not" then she starts cryin, I said I'm 19, she said "stop lyin"

I said "yes I am, go ask my mother, and with your wrinkled pussy I can't be your loverrr..."

God Save The Queen

God save the Queen
the fascist regime,
they made you a moron
a potential H-bomb.

God save the Queen
she ain't no human being.
There is no future
in England's dreaming

Don't be told what you want
Don't be told what you need.
There's no future
there's no future
there's no future for you

God save the Queen
we mean it man
we love our queen
God saves

God save the Queen
'cos tourists are money
and our figurehead
is not what she seems

Oh God save history
God save your mad parade
Oh Lord God have mercy
all crimes are paid.

When there's no future
how can there be sin
we're the flowers
in the dustbin
we're the poison
in your human machine
we're the future
you're future

God save the Queen
we mean it man
we love our queen
God saves

God save the Queen
we mean it man
there is no future
in England's dreaming

No future
no future for you
no fufure for me

35. Me, too, ...sort of
As many of you know, I just got into a top-quality cathedral choir this year, and so most of my recent exposure to music has been participatory, learning and singing timeless compositions by the world's greatest composers of sacred music from the sixteenth to the twentieth centuries.

The Tudor composers produced some of the finest choral music ever written.

When I'm in a more passive mode, it's mostly my choral and classical CDs or the classical radio stations. I haven't felt much like listening to the other genres lately, even though I have a lot of world music and smaller amounts of jazz and rock.

Stevie Van Zandt
Joe Jackson
Graham Parker

But during the day, I always have blues on the internet radio. Atlanta Blues Society baby! http://www.absbluescast.org/
