Does hate serve us well? Does it drive us and make us more

determined or is it an emotion that clouds our reason and makes us unable to effect the changes that we want and need. I can't see myself hating baby bush and his hideous administration any less but sometimes I feel that my emotions are keeping me from interacting with those on the fence and helping them to see the light. We need strong emotions to fuel our actions but we need positiveness to work within the system. What do you think about it?

1. In the short term

It can keep you going despite all odds.

On my bad days I hate the fundies and won't let them win by letting them get me down. On my good days I can forgive them.

2. But does forgiving them help us to make changes.? I was taught (as a

Christian) not even to use the word hate. There are certainly a lot of so called Christians that don't have any problem with this. However, I was taught to always look at and consider the other viewpoint. The problem is that the other viewpoint is out to destroy me and those like me.

3. There is only ONCE the word HATE entered my rhetoric and that was recently

following the recall in my anger.

NO HATE does not serve us well. It serves THEM well because their programs and platforms are based on lies determined to DERAIL the financial underpinnings of democracy that are based on a strong middle class. When one must LIE in order to prevail then one is using a tool of hatred to prevail based on the strict definition of deception.

Hoodwink refers to deluding by trickery: It is difficult to hoodwink a smart lawyer. Bamboozle means to delude by the use of such tactics as hoaxing or artful persuasion: “Perhaps if I wanted to be understood or to understand I would bamboozle myself into belief, but I am a reporter” (Graham Greene). Double-cross implies the betrayal of a confidence or the willful breaking of a pledge: The thief double-crossed his accomplice.


That does NOT MEAN we CANNOT or SHOULD NOT communicate ANGER. Anger can be a great motivator by drumming up or sparking another's sense of justic or INJUSTICE.

But hatred is a tool of manipulators. Since our intentions in our platforms are FAR more honest as to outcome, hatred is a tool unbecoming to us.

I simply do my best to underscore the contradictions when debating others.

4. What a great answer. My problem is that I don't seem to be able to

separate my anger and my hate. My anger fuels my hate and makes me ineffective. I have become one of those people that wants to smash the tv whenever that baby baboon comes on. This cannot be a good thing. (Excuse the comparison baby baboons. I think that you are really cute but you don't pretend to be the leader of the free world.)

6. Turn the TV off and focus your anger on the policies and deceptions that

have harmed so many especially in Texas where 4500 people lost their jobs and 401K investments due to the deceptive behavior of ONE company, ENRON.

The hatred you have (even calling him Chimp or Baboon) short circuits the logic you can use to make one question themselves. It's fine if they never admit to you they made the wrong choice...send them to the voting booth with DOUBT in their choices and philosophies.

5. It serves the defense industry well, and drives us to give them $

7. Hate clouds. Reasoned anger focuses.

If I didn't believe that my actions will have some positive effect, I'd stop. I'm not stopping anytime soon.
