it was a long overdue move with Sori.......he's totally out of sinc at the plate....I mean, he's never been the most disciplined hitter but he's in a real bad funk......time to sit down....

10. I like the Yankees
I wouldn't normally be a fan of a New York team, but my grandmother used to be a huge fan, and after she died they became one of my favorites. They have the hunger back again - Steinbrenner can do that to you. The Phillies are my favorite team, and it would make my Phils look better if the Marlins win, but I'm going on loyalty. I think the Marlins have a real shot. The Phillies didn't play very well down the stretch, but they would have had to have been red hot to keep up with The Marlins.

May the best team win. :hi:

4-1.

Then last night they lost that game 3-4 in extra innings. I hope they pull it together back on the home field.

Hopefully Willis can get them through the 8th. He's made some mistakes in the past this postseason but he's one of the best young pitchers in the league so we'll see.

If the 2003 Marlins have taught you nothing it's that you never give up when the game is on the line. The Marlins will fend them off.

34. Gloat all you want, Marlins fans. You're still going to lose.
Edited on Thu Oct-23-03 10:42 PM by Loyal
If Wells hadn't tore his back out, you would have lost tonight. We had some of the worst pitching I've ever seen from Hammond and Contreras. Saturday night your boy Beckett will be pitching on short rest and Pettitte will be fully rested(we'll win), and Sunday night Mussina will be up against a tired Pavano. We'll win, the Yankees fans won't let the boys lose. :)

43. I wasn't talking about location
I was talking about a Series win versus a loss. Just the Series. Who cares where? Before you decry my baseball knowledge, I recall watching with glee when the Dodgers beat the Yankees in Yankee stadium in Game 7 of the 1981 Series. Now then, before you embarrass yourself any further (or send more personal attacks to my inbox), please do not waste my time with pointless accusations with no basis in fact.

39. About Mussina
Mussina will be rested, and that's a bad thing. You obviously didn't watch Oriole baseball. Moose sucks when he's well rested, but he's fabulous on short rest. He's weird like that in the playoffs.

40. He'll be at game 7
in Yankee stadium. He won't lose, and once he's done in Inning 7 or 8 and the Yankees are ahead, they'll put Rivera in, and it's all over.

45. Comeback thwarted.
The Yanks might still win the Series, but the Marlins have definitely gotten to them. They actually look nervous and worried. Perhaps its all a ruse, and I'm sure that's what Yankee fans will say, but... All those who wouldn't give the Marlins a chance now know why a lot of us gave them a very good chance at winning this thing.
