2. Oh yeah.....It WAS one toke
Sweet Jesus....You'd think I'd remember lyrics to the "Doobies".

Then again, it figures.

4. I find that it was Brewer and Shipley 1970
rather than the Doobie Brothers. Or is that what you were inferring? Then I had to look and find out if Brewer and Shipley were members of the Doobie brothers.

5. right you are!
And thanks for the earworm, folks. My brain is going to be singing this to me for the rest of the day.

One toke over the line, sweet Jesus
One toke over the line
Sittin' downtown in a railway station
One toke over the line

Awaitin' for the train
That goes home, sweet Mary
Hopin' that the train is on time
Sittin' downtown in a railway station
One toke over the line

Whoooo do you love
I hope it's me
I've bin a-changin',
As you can plainly see
I felt the joy
And I learned about the pain
That my Momma said
If I should choose to make a part of me
Surely strike me dead

And now, I'm one toke over the line sweet Jesus
One toke over the line
Sittin' downtown in a railway station
One toke over the line
I'm waitin' for the train that goes home sweet Mary
Hopin' that the train is on time
Sittin' downtown in a railway station
One toke over the line

I sail away a country mile
And now I'm returnin'
Showin' off a smile
I met all the girls and loved myself a few
Ended by surprise
Like everything else I've been through
It opened up my eyes and now I'm

And now, one toke over the line sweet Jesus
One toke over the line
Sittin' downtown in a railway station
Don't you just know
I'm waitin' for the train
That goes home, sweet Mary
Hopin' that the train is on time
Sittin' downtown in a railway station
One toke over the line

Don't you just know
I'm just waitin' for the train
That goes home sweet Mary
Hopin' that the train is on time
Sittin' downtown in a railway station
One toke over the line

I want to be
One toke over the line, sweet Jesus
I want to go over the line....

Commonly misheard as "one toe over the line", or -- even better -- as "won't toke over the line" (as in, promising not to drop ash on the coke?).

6. :::snicker:::
And apparently, people really can order those things:

Note to the confused:This is a real product, from a real site. The product is a satire, but it is also a real product - FOR SALE. This is a real store.
