We Just Watched "Hotel Rwanda" WOW!
If not on the level of "Schindler's List", it is at least as powerful and important a movie as "The Killing Fields".

Don Cheadle is an AMAZING actor, and everybody else stays with him.

Its not a movie to watch with little kids, but a pre-teen or up could get a lot out of it. It does a great job of showing the horror without the blood & guts.

I won't tell you why, but look for a potential incontinence moment near the end when Don Cheadle is looking for his family during a raid.

Take mine and ChicaAzul's word on this one!

Peace!

3. I watched it last night, and sobbed. It was very powerful.
Don Cheadle should have won an award for his performance. I also liked the fact that there was an interview with the real Paul Rusesabagina, and his first trip back since 1994.

5. I watched it last night too
Really good film. I'd say it's required viewing.

It's not a graphic as I expected it to be. They pointed that out in the documentary that they didn't want to turn away viewers with excessive violence since they felt it was important to tell the story to as big an audience as possible.

I agree Don Cheadle is fantastic.

11. Don Cheadle...
...a great actor. In a "Ray"less year, he'd probably have won that Oscar. I was gald to see him at least get the recognition of a nomination.

13. Wow.
I just finished watching it. I sobbed, I wasn't old enough, or rather, not involved in international politics enough, in 1994 to really know what was going on, but this same thing is going on now in Sudan. And we still do nothing about it. Ugh. Makes me ashamed to be American or a westerner in general, I guess.

The movie is a condemnation of the actions or inactions of the US, Belgium, France...and everyone else who didn't help. Sometimes I really think we suck.

14. But Isn't it Wonderful...
...that the news media keeps us up to date with the runaway bride and whose pants Michael Jackson has his hands in?

19. I watched it on Friday and i thought it was well done
although i was angry and crying at the end. The scene when Nick Nolte is sitting at the bar and gives Cheadle the low down on rescue was maddening.
