6. I voted for what I already have - just because it's worked out so well

My oldest is a girl (6) and her brother is 3 years younger. Her nurturing instincts have been wonderful, and I think she tends to moderate my son's raucous behaviour.

I don't mean to be sexist or imply that boys can't be nurtering, but the difference between my kids is like night and day!

Would I get to choose the sex of my next child too? Personally, I'd like one of each. I think it is good for children to be exposed to the other sex in this way. You never know how childern will end up in their preferences. For all those dads that like sports, girls often like sports too. Boys can be relatively calm good students or artsy types too. When I have children, I will expose them to a variety of activites and see how things work out. Maybe, I'll get lucky and have fraternal opposite sexed twins.
