Could someone tell me why if a ball is popped up to the infield or close by and a runner is on first; why wouldn't the fielder "accidentally" drop the catch and then make the double play?

10. Now my focus is on baseball |
|
UT just pulled it out in 5 OT's.
So far, looks like one hell of a pitcher's duel... About what I expected.

He's thrown 46 pitches through 3 innings. At this rate, he'll be fortunate to make it through 6 or 7.

I don't see the Yanks going down without a fight. Wonder how long McKeon will go with Beckett? He could bring in Urbina and Looper, who have been inconsistent the last two nights.

I just can't pass up watching the collapse of the Yankee dynasty. This will be better than the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Soviet Union!!!
