He broke all the "rules" about pitching on three days rest and going to starters for relief work.

Everyone said you can't do that. It won't work. He will lose.

Well, he won.

Hmmm..maybe something we should think about as far as the '04 election is concerned? Maybe conventional wisdom needs a good slap in the face and we should go with what we know is right in our guts and screw the advice of the professional handlers and political leeches that latch onto campaigns for the ca$h instead of the cause.

Whoever the nominee is, I hope he or she thinks about how the Marlins beat the best of the rest.

In baseball you don't have to care what anybody thinks. In politics it is sort of the whole point.
