My wife's ex-husband died Friday.
Her kids are fucked up over it of course because he was their Dad. He was an okay guy to me. I didn't have any problem with him. They made me cry by all of them being over here crying. She just left for the funeral in Mt. Pleasant Tx. I hope every one can deal with it. Every one deals with death in their own way. Her son got wasted. Well, I can't blame him, his Dad is dead. I guess time will be their friend, huh ?

1. Helping Those Who Mourn
Sounds like you're supportive of your wife and your step-children. They'll appreciate it, even if you can't do much to console them now. You sound like a good guy. They'll do fine, and so will you.

2. Brings back a lot of bad memories...
My baby brother was murdered at age 29 by his soon-to-be-ex in 1995. Our family just disintegrated...it was a walking nightmare. Just be there for them, man, thats all you can do. Life will eventually return to normal.

4. They need a friend
Sounds like you'll be there for them and they will remember and appreciate that.

For you, I hope for a Bears win today.

6. Done!
Now they are 2 and 5. Will they finish badly enough to get a good draft pick next year? Or will they miraculously finish 11 and 5?

How you holding up? Have you heard from your wife and stepkids? Hope they are doing okay.
